Purpose

TeamworksThe SARC-Net space in Teamworks  has recently replaced the email-based SARC-Net. It is open to all SARCs administered by the UNDP JPO Service Centre.

Through this space, SARCs are able to exchange information and knowledge, leading to the strengthening of the SARC community spirit. Furthermore, SARCs are able to be kept abreast of the JPO Service Centre’s activities addressed to them, such as Workshops, PPO courses, Career Development webinars. Interesting and useful links, documents, files and general information are also made available through the SARC-Net space in Teamworks.

Space usability

The space is divided in three columns, the middle column being the contributions area. The following subdivisions have been created for this specific area, for clarity purposes, each of them with two blocks, one for messages, where links may be added, and another one for files, which may be accompanied by a text:

SARC-Net Space

  1. From the JPO Service Center to you: This is the subdivision the JPO Service Centre uses to communicate with the SARC Community on matters not specific to the subdivisions below.
  2. Career Development / Training and Learning:  This is the subdivision to be used for anything related to career development, training and learning, including, but not limited to, training opportunities, DTTA-related queries and questions on reassignments.
  3. Job-related: The weekly Job-ads Bulletin is posted in this subdivision. It is as well used for sharing other job opportunities by any member of the SARC-Net.
  4. UNDAF and Related Documents - tag: UNDAF: This is the subdivision to be used for any message or file related to housing, rents, sublets, furniture and the like.
  5. SARC Exchange Space – On any other topic: As its title says, this is the subdivision for any other kind of communication not fitting in the above subdivisions.

How to Contribute?

TW Add

In the left column, under the View/Add Space Content section, it is possible to add a contribution by clicking on“add” according to the format to use.

It is very important to tag every contribution so they show in the appropriate subdivision. Missing to tag a contribution will result in your contribution not being accessible to anyone in the space.

Please note the following tags for each of the subdivisions:

  1. From the JPO Service Center to you: JPOSC.
  2. Career Development / Training and Learning: Three tags possible (only one necessary): career development, training, learning.
  3. Job-related: Job.
  4. UNDAF and Related Documents - tag: UNDAF:.UNDAF
  5. SARC Exchange Space – On any other topic: other.

Please note however that the JPO Service Centre is the owner of the SARC-Net space in Teamworks. As such, it reserves the right to edit/delete contributions, as well as to contact the contributors, if necessary.

Getting Notifications

It is important to set the membership to the group in order to receive notifications in the email account for every new contribution; it is as easy as clicking on “Get notifications” on the left column, right below the Welcome message and the space information box.
