Timeline
- The deadline for receipt of applications is 12 midday (Copenhagen time) on Monday 6 September 2010 for the four UNDP JPO positions and for the UNRWA position in Jerusalem.
- Please note that the deadline for receipt of application for the UNRWA position in Amman is 12 midday (Copenhagen time) on Wednesday 15 September 2010.
Please note that all selected candidates must be prepared to take up duty before the end of 2010.
General Conditions
Duration of Assignment: Initial appointment of one year, renewable up to a maximum of three years.
Grade/Step: Subject to the assessment of relevant education and years of relevant experience prior to appointment, and to satisfactory performance during the assignment, the remuneration of selected candidates will be as follows:
EITHER at P-1/1, P1/2 and P2/1 during first, second and third years respectively;
OR at P2/1, P2/2 and P2/3 during first, second and third years respectively.
All Candidates must:
- Have completed a study relevant to international co-operation concluding in a university degree at M.Sc./M.A. level; or a study relevant to international co-operation concluding in a degree at B.Sc./B.A. level, followed by a minimum of three years of working experience;
- Be committed to the UN values, highly motivated, professional, have good interpersonal skills and be able to adapt to a multi-cultural environment;
- Be fluent in English and possess a working knowledge of at least one other UN language or be fluent in both English and the working language at the duty station as appropriate. Fluency in other UN languages can be an asset and may be tested in the interview along with English;
- Only apply for positions in a duty station outside their country of origin;
- Not have worked previously as a JPO/APO/YPO/AE.
Specific Conditions
In addition to the General conditions listed above, candidates from eligible Developing Countries must fulfil the following conditions:- Be a national of a developing country that appears on the list of "Eligible countries Netherlands JPOs/APOs/YPOs/AEs Programme"; and also
- Part or all academic training must have taken place in a developing country that appears on the list of "Eligible countries Netherlands JPOs/APOs/YPOs/AEs Programme".

Conditions
Pour être éligibles au programme de JEA financé par les Pays Bas, les candidats doivent:
- Être âgés de moins de 32 ans à la date de leur candidature
- Avoir terminé des études universitaires au niveau de la maîtrise dans un domaine d'étude approprié OU
- Avoir terminé des études universitaires au niveau d'une licence complétées par un minimum de trois années d'expérience professionnelle dans un domaine approprié
- Souscrire aux valeurs de l'ONU, être très motivés, professionnels, avoir le sens de la communication, être capables de s'adapter à un environnement multiculturel
- Maîtriser la langue anglaise ou française (selon la langue des attributions, ToR) et posséder une connaissance pratique de l'autre langue. La maîtrise d'autres langues officielles de l'ONU peut être un atout et pourra faire l'objet d'un test lors de l'entretien.
Les candidats des pays en développement doivent également remplir les conditions suivantes:
- Avoir la nationalité d'un des pays en développement figurant sur la liste de ceux désignés comme admissibles (veuillez consulter la liste de ces pays)
- Avoir obtenu leur diplôme universitaire de 1er cycle ou de cycles supérieurs dans un pays en développement de la liste
- Un candidat ne peut postuler à un poste si celui-ci est basé dans son propre pays.
