Announcements

There are currently no new vacancies for UNDP JPO positions financed by The Netherlands.

The programme offers opportunities to Dutch nationals, permanent residents of the Netherlands and nationals of eligible Developing Countries. Vacancies are usually announced once a year by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the JPOSC.

For the last recruitment cycle vacancies were announced in July and August 2008.

 

The Dutch JPO Programme in numbers

Requirements

To be eligible to apply to the Dutch JPO Programme, candidates must:

  • Be no more than 32 years of age on the date of their application
  • Have completed a university education at Master's degree level in a relevant area of study OR
  • Have completed a university education at Bachelor degree level with a minimum of three years' relevant working experience
  • Be committed to the UN values, highly motivated, professional, have good interpersonal skills and be able to adapt to a multi-cultural environment
  • Be fluent in either English or French (subject to the language of the terms of reference) and possess a working knowledge of the other. Fluency in other UN languages can be an asset and may be tested in the interview.

Applicants from Developing Countries must also meet the following requirements:

  • Be a national of one of the eligible developing countries (please click here to see the list of eligible countries)
  • Have obtained either their first or second degree university education in a developing country of the above list
  • Applicants cannot apply to a post in their country of origin.
