The United Arab Emirates JPO Programme

The United Arab Emirates joined the JPO Programme by signing an agreement with UNOPS in August 2007.

The National Human Resource Development & Employment Authority (TANMIA) of the United Arab Emirates is currently recruiting for ten Junior Professional Officer (JPO) positions with UNOPS. The deadline is 31 January 2008.

Please note that the JPO Service Centre is not involved in UNOPS JPO recruitment.

Requirements

To be eligible to apply to the the United Arab Emirates JPO Programme, candidates must:

  • Be nationals of the United Arab Emirates
  • Be under 32 years of age on the date of their application
  • Be committed to UN values, highly motivated, professional, have good interpersonal skills, and be able to work well in a multi-cultural environment
  • Have fluency in spoken and written English. Fluency in other relevant UN languages (Arabic, French, and Spanish) is an asset and may be tested at interview
  • Have Excellent Word, PowerPoint, database, and internet skills
