Five Policy, Programme and Operations JPO Induction Workshops will be offered this year as a part of the Competency Based Learning Programme for Junior Professional Officers (JPOs).
The programme aims to develop requisite competencies for JPOs in order to enable them to effectively contribute to the positioning of UNDP as a world-class knowledge-based organization. The overarching goal of the this programme is to support and provide JPOs with opportunities to gain a better understanding of what is required for their development and to help support JPOs with career progression.
Please note that the tentative dates for the next few PPO courses have been shifted to accommodate UN holidays in New York (4th of July and 7th of Nov). the new dates are:
- 28 March to 8 April 2011
- 16 to 27 May 2011 (invitations already sent to 30 JPOs)
- 20 June to 01 July 2011 (tentative dates)
- 12 -23 September 2011 (tentative dates)
- 4 October to 04 November 2011 (tentative dates).
It is important to keep in mind that these are tentative dates to be confirmed with the LRC prior to each course. It has also been agreed that for cost (and time) saving reasons courses with less than 10 participants will be merged.
Please note that at this moment there are about 20 to 25 participants scheduled for May and June respectively. September will be confirmed when we know how many JPOs are scheduled to attend.
