JPO Programmes of other UN agencies
The JPO Programme was started by UNDP in the sixties and has progressively
become a key programme, providing nowadays nearly 13% of the international
staff recruited by the agency. It also provides young and high-qualified
staff to the other agencies administered by the JPOSC: UNFPA, UNIDO, UNIFEM,
UNOPS, UNCDF and UNV.
Considering the success and the assets of this Programme, other UN agencies
have adopted the idea and initiated similar Associate Experts Programmes:
